Best pet for the best hunter!

How do I choose the best WoW pet for me?

When talking about which pet is the best we need to consider which content are you aiming for and which spec will you be running. Entire content of World of Warcraft can be split into two major segments, PVP and PVE. Depending on which content you will be aiming for you will have to choose your spec, gear and of course, your pet. Click here for more on WoW Best Hunter Pet

PVP Content

Arena, Battlegrounds and world PvP are three aspects of PvP content, with first two being way more popular and organized. Hunters are an amazing class in PvP with great utilities for it. Your play style will depend on your spec and in PvP it all comes down to gaining control of the situation, and because of that you will have to keep your enemies at range and in control. You will be able to produce large amounts of damage to your foes as long as you can keep the range from them but once they get in melee range tables can turn. Keeping that in mind you will always have to keep distance from your target.

Disengage, traps and various shoots can make this happen but sometimes that is just not enough. Best spec for PvP at this point is Survival with Marksmanship on the close second place; beast mastery on the other hand isn’t really that good. Question is, which hunter pet will help me to keep control over my enemies? Most hunters go with spiders and crabs, and that is for a good reason. Every hunter needs to know how to properly kite his targets otherwise he won’t be able to defeat his enemy.

Spider pets

Spiders are very good in PvP probably even the best and immobilize effect from their web ability with cunning talent tree is the reason why most hunters use them. Your own abilities and web ability with 40 second cool down should be more than enough to give you control over your enemies’ movement. Web will cause your target to become immobilized for four seconds and this effect is not dispellable. The week point of them is that they will not produce a lot of damage like ferocity pets or have survivability of tenacity pets. Feeding them should not be a problem as they are meat eaters! Crab pets

Crabs are probably second most used pets in arena and have similar unique ability to spiders called pin, which will also immobilize target for four seconds dealing nature damage to them, however, this effect is dispelable. Nevertheless, crabs are tenacity pets and will be a lot harder to kill than spiders.

PVE content

Raiding is most popular and fun aspect of PvE content. Hunter is a pure dps class and doing maximum dps in raids is their job. Beast mastery dps is too weak when it comes to raiding and both Marksmanship and Survival are hand in hand superior to it. Best pets for PvE hunter are ferocity pets as their talents are all about dealing damage or enhancing it. Deciding on which pet is best for PvE content is easy and it is definitely wolf because he is superior to other ferocity pets! Wolves’ special ability will raise both their and your attack power by 320 for 20 seconds with 40 seconds cool down, which is really amazing. Ferocity tree will provide additional damage boosts alongside survivability to make sure your pet will stay alive during any encounter.

As you’re probably aware, Rogues are the most feared of all PvP classes. Why? Because they excel at taking down opponents, often without their foe even getting a chance to fight back. But not even Rogues are invulnerable. Understanding your strengths and weaknesses will make you a much more fearsome PvP foe. Let’s look at your Rogue’s strengths first.

Rogue PvP Strengths

I’ll say it right out. Few classes are as effective, or as feared in PvP. Because you are so well-rounded, it’s hard to pick out your greatest strength. Once you become proficient with them, Stunblocks are deadly weapons. A well-executed stunlock can leave your opponent immobilized or staggering around in a daze, and make them easy pickings for you and your teammates. Get this right, come up with a good Rogue PvP build, and you’ll be very hard to beat.

Your ability to poison your foes is probably your next greatest strength. Even when your enemies run away, you’ve got options. Use your Crippling Poison to slow them down, and your Mind Numbing Poison to mess up their spell casting. When you put these together with all your Rogue’s other strengths and abilities and it is easy to see why everyone hates you.

Rogue PvP Weaknesses

One big weakness of being a Rogue in large battles is that other players don’t like you very much. Any player who has seen their character stunlocked into immobility while being pounded to death, or poisoned into stumbling incompetence has a score to settle with Rogues. This can make you a target, as most players will happily help when it comes to taking out an enemy Rogue.

Beyond the fact that everyone hates you, your character’s biggest weakness is the complexity of executing a stunlock. Mess this up, perhaps because a Hunter’s pet is chewing on you, or a Shaman gets an Earthshield up, and you’ll be vulnerable to attack. Beyond that, remember that you have only melee attacks, so if a ranged fighter manages to keep you at a distance, they can tear you up with impunity.

These are just the basics of Rogue strategy, strengths, and weaknesses in PvP. Most decent players can do well in PvP with just basic Rogue strategy. But to really dominate you need more than that. An excellent Rogue PvP build will be crucial, as will great Rogue strategy ideas for PvP. A Roge PvP guide can help you with things like talent builds, Rogue PvP gear selection, specifics of killing each opposing class, and more.

Learning the strengths and weaknesses of your Rogue is one great way to improve your performance in PvP combat. To learn more about this and other PvP techniques in a guide that has helped others generate a 2214 Arena Rating in weeks, just Click Here.

Shamans – The Spiritcallers

In the World of Warcraft, Shamans are a famous class of hybrids. For quite a while Shamans as a class were available only to the Horde while Alliance had Paladins in exchange. With the Burning Crusade this fact has changed and with the new introduced race – the Draenei, Shamans became very popular with the Alliance players.

Resembling the Druid class, Shamans can also drastically change their spec to Casters, Healers and Melee damage dealers. There are three talent builds they can choose from – Enhancement (melee dps), Elemental (caster dps) and Restoration (healer). If you prefer a dps caster that can own a damage meter, the Elemental talent build would be perfect for your Shaman. However, to achieve the best damage output you should equip gear that is rich in sp (spell power), hit rating, crit rating as well as with haste rating. By choosing the Enhancement talents, a Shaman will become a good melee dps. The Enhancement build will also require you to have adequate gear that has a lot of Agility, hit, crit and haste. A special ability granted to all Enhancement Shamans is the ability to summon two ghost wolves which will help a Shaman in a fight against any enemy. This spell is very useful, especially in PvP.

A Restoration Shaman is considered to be a great healer. A Shaman has really good single-target healing spells and is also favored in raids because of his ability to heal multiple targets with a Chain Heal. Earth shield is another very useful spell a Shaman can put on himself, a party member or a tank who is receiving damage. The most important thing when it comes to gear for a Shaman healer is mp5 (the amount of mana regenerated per 5 seconds.

Shamans can wear cloth, leather and mail. He will have wear leather as the strongest armor on lower levels, however, when he reaches a certain level he will be able to equip mail as well. At the higher levels it is strongly suggested to wear mail since this kind of armor is a lot stronger then leather or cloth. Similar to Hunter’s armor sets, mail armor sets made for Shamans have a lot of useful stats like intellect, which is important for a Shaman since he is a mana user. For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros Guide Review

For easy leveling a Shaman it is suggested to put your talents in the Enhancement branch. As an Enhancement Shaman you will not need much mana since most of your skills are melee and therefore your leveling will go much faster. Another couple talent points well spent would be in the improved ghost wolf form to enable you to instantly turn into the ghost wolf.

Another thing which made Shamans very popular in groups, raids and in PvP are their totems. There are four groups of totems divided into elements – Air totems, Fire totems, Water totems and Earth totems. Depending on the build a Shaman chooses their totems will give more benefit to the party members. Since there are four groups of elements, a Shaman can use one totem from each group so in total he can cast 4 different totems.

The Shaman class is a fun class for leveling and playing both PvE and PvP, since they are able to change their role when needed. With many options to choose from when it comes to Shamans, rest assured you will fall in love with this class and never get bored.

The Warrior class is very famous in the World of Warcraft. Because he can perform well in both PvE and PvP as a really good tank or melee dps, a Warrior can easily find a spot in any PvP team, instance or a raid group. Since the dual spec ability became available to all of the WoW players, playing a Warrior became even more fun.

Playing a Warrior tank is definitely fun but after some time it can also become boring, because everybody likes a change once in a while. Since a second spec is available, for example Fury or Arms, you are able to feel more relaxed knowing that you can switch from being a tank to a dps Warrior in just a few moments without spending gold on it. Click here to watch the video: Warrior Guide

With a setup like this you will be able to gather gear for both your tanking build and damage or PvP build. If you posses the adequate gear for certain build, you can switch when needed, in example tank an instance to help your friends, or you can also change to a dps Warrior if you feel like doing some PvP or just grinding. Have in mind though, that tanks are always harder to find and they are essential for any group so you will definitely be appreciated as a tank.

The Protection talent tree, like said before, should be followed by players that want to turn their Warrior in a capable tank. The talents that can be chosen in the Protection talent tree will make the Warrior a tough cookie. The Protection tree will enable you to increase your tank’s armor, stamina, shield abilities, threat, etc. which all will contribute in making you more capable while tanking in any raid or dungeon.

The Arms and Fury talent tree of the Warrior are supposed to increase the Warriors damage. Arms is said to be a perfect build for PvP because of many useful attacks and abilities like Mortal Strike – an ability which, when placed on a target, will decrease any healing done. The Mortal Strike has proven to be lethal for many arena teams and in PvP in general. For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros Guide Review

The Fury talent tree has always been used strictly for PvE DPS purposes. Some players claim that an Arms Warrior is also better in PvE when compared to a Fury Warrior. This however, is something that you yourself should judge. By choosing the Fury talent tree, you will be able to use some very nice attack abilities and you will be able to wield Two-Handed Weapons, which will not only highlight your character’s looks, but it will also make your class unique!

Warriors have been the backbone of civilizations through time and have always had a great purpose in battle. The Warrior class in the World of Warcraft is the only class which can equip all the weapons. When it comes to armor, a Warrior wears plate and when combined with a good use of his shield he will definitely become a strong tank while if he chooses to use two-handers he will be able to achieve massive damage. Rogue – From The Shadows

Rogues are one of 10 classes you can choose from in WoW. While wielding melee weapons a Rogue can deal massive amounts of damage with special attacks and other moves. A Rogue has to spend Energy in order to make these attacks. The Rogue has an Energy bar under his hit points bar which keeps track of the amount of Energy the Rogue has at the moment. Rogues can have a maximum of 100 Energy if you do not count in the talent points and the Energy recovers in time.

As an Alliance players you will be able to make a Gnome, Dwarf, Human and Night Elf Rogue and as a Horde player you will be able to choose between the Orc, Troll, Blood Elf and Undead races. Rogues are very popular especially among players that want to entertain themselves by fighting with the other faction. Because the Rogues can go stealth they can usually make a first move which gives them an edge in combat. When a Rogue is stealthed he has several abilities at his disposal which can only be used when stealthed and once he makes his move he will unstealth and get several new moves he can make. Click here to watch the video: WoW Rogue Guide

Most of their attacks award the Rogue with combo points on their targets. A total of 5 combo points can be applied on a target. Next to a series of attacks that award combo points a Rogue will also have several finishing moves available that will have an effect on their target depending on the amount of combo points that the target has. If in example you have five combo points on your target, your finishing moves will have a lot of effect.

There are some classes that can deal damage and heal or even tank, Rogues however, are a pure DPS class and can’t heal or tank. They are designed to do loads of damage though. If you want to be on top of the damage list you should know the class well. In this case it means knowing all your attacks and when to use which ones, knowing the talent trees by heart and knowing which ones to choose, which stats you should have on your gear etc. You should know which talent tree is made with what purpose and which talent points you can avoid and which should definitely be taken. The three talent trees are called combat, assassination, and subtlety. For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros

If you are leveling a Rogue you should choose the Combat talent tree. As a combat specced Rogue you will have an easier time leveling because you will get a decent amount of survivability while you will get several strikes like Ghost Strike that will increase your damage output. Because the Rogue will get more Parry and Dodge rating he will lose less health and because it also boost the offhand damage and crit and hit rating leveling becomes much easier.

Once you hit your level cap you and want to play PvE, the Assasination tree is great for you. With the Assassination talent tree you will be able to dish out great amount of damage with Backstab and other good attacks. Most talents are based on attacking from behind which makes it less good for soloing. Most talents are based on attacking from behind which makes it less good for soloing.

When there is a tank however, which is taking the hits, a Rogue can stand behind the target and constantly nuke the target. If you like to play PvP you should try out the Subtlety talent tree. With it you will get access to talents that will allow you to do a lot of burst damage. The build isn’t suited for PvP because you will lack damage on longer fights.
