New Cataclysm expansion, recently announced by Blizzard will bring brand new items, abilities, races and the 2 new professions.
Burning Crusade expansion introduced Jewelcrafting and Enchanting, Wrath of the Lich King brought Inscription. Cataclysm expansion will, as announced, bring Archaeology and Reforging, latest features of crafting. Click here for more on Archaeology and Reforging Guide WoW
Archaeology profession
Archaeology will be the last of the secondary professions, allowing further customizations to be performed on the characters. Players who learn Archaeology will be able to research the ruins in all of the zones and search for the antiques just like real Archaeologists would do.
Through their research of the ruins, Archaeologists will be able to gather various unique artifacts and make notes. With the use of these artifacts, Archaeologists will be able to customize their characters and with handing in these artifacts to a Titan cult they will be able to get amazing rewards such as Vanity pets, Titles, Teleportation and Items.
Depending on the path they choose, Archeologists will be able to make new discoveries which will bring new passive skills and new abilities.
How unique is Archaeology?
All already known professions in WoW are designed to be taken, skilled to a certain skill level and used in a certain purpose. Archaeology will be different. You won’t be only able to train it, hit the cap and then stop progressing with it. It will allow continuous advancing in profession, which will ensure the constant interest of players for this profession.
Reforging
Reforging is a skill which will allow players to customize their gear. Only the gear statistics will be subject to customization, unfortunately not the appearance as well. It will maybe be possible in the further expansions.
Reforging skill will be available to those having Blacksmithing, Engineering, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking and Tailoring. Those players who have one or more of these crafting professions will be able to re-customize the piece of gear originating from it. For example a Jewelcrafter will be able to take one stat from the ring. He will then be able to change it and then return it back to the piece as a completely different statistic.
What is so special about this?
Firstly, the stats that you will be able to change are not the ones that some item already has. If you for example have a necklace with stamina and intellect, you will be able to change stamina for the equivalent amount of the spell power instead.
This form of item stats manipulation will be possible on all items, not just the ones you can craft. It will be of particular help to players who do not have the required professions. Those players will be able to seek assistance from other players who have Reforging as an addition to their professions.
Cataclysm expansion will certainly bring a brand new dimension in the World of Warcraft. Being the most popular and outstanding mmorpg, WoW will surely not disappoint the players. The population of the WoW players is ever-growing despite the new MMORPGs that are constantly emerging. Undeniable quality of this game and brand new exciting releases are the main reason for this. Enchanting is both the nicest and hardest profession to level up in WoW. It will bring a wide array of benefits to those players that choose to learn it. With Enchanting you can enhance the pieces of your gear with greater stats which will contribute to the overall output of your spells and abilities and will make your character’s performance maximized. Ability to Disenchant
When you choose Enchanting as one of your primary professions you will also get the ability to disenchant items. This ability will enable you to disenchant items of all types of rarity (safe for the Poor and Common) into valuable dust, shards or essences. These end products are used again to enchant other items to wear desired statistics and their value is considerably high, which will bring you a nice profit if you decide to sell them on the Auction House.
Gear comes and goes. During the levelling you will change many sets of gear as well as when you get to level 80. New dungeons and new raid locations are constantly introducing new tier sets, posing an ever-growing need for improvement. Any item that you wore will become useless once you get a new and better one, and all you can do is sell it to the vendor for a small amount of gold. By disenchanting the item instead, you will be able to collect valuable items that will enable you to use it for enchanting of your new gear.
Benefits of Enchanting
Main use of Enchanting is to improve the statistics of your items. However, specific benefits you will gain are definitely the ring enchants. You will be able to enchant your own rings to wear the desired statistics depending on your class’ needs and only the Enchanter will be able to have his rings enchanted. Caster classes, both dps and healers receive a great boost through these enchants and many players pick up Enchanting solely because of this unique ability.
What are the Enchanting requirements?
Every Enchanter will need a trainer to learn the new skills from. Trainers of this profession are located in all of the Azeroth, Northrend and Outland major cities. Enchanting Rod is the next thing that you will require. Different skill levels require different Enchanting Rods. Enchanters can make those rods by themselves, although they will need to acquire the appropriate Fel Iron, Arcanite, Titanium, Adamantite or some other type of rod from a Blacksmith player.
How to obtain Enchanting mats
Enchanter can gather all the mats he needs for leveling up of this profession by disenchanting various items. However, in order to get to uncommon or rare items you will need to grind or to buy them on the Auction House. This comes are very time-taking and expensive. The best solution for an Enchanter is to pair this profession it with some crafting profession such as Tailoring. Tailoring requires a lot of cloth for crafting the final products. However, cloth is very easy to farm, making the combination of these two professions an ideal solution.
Can Enchanting bring profit?
As an Enchanter you can easily make a nice profit by selling your skills or by selling the disenchanted items. If you plan to collect fees, higher enchanting skills will enable you to demand higher fees for your services. As for disenchanting the items, it will be fairly easy since most players need shards, essences and dust for their own enchants. Skinning is one of the three gathering profession in the World of Warcraft. The first step towards leveling this profession is finding the Skinning trainer. A Skinning trainer can be found in any of the Azeroth’s capital cities and also in some of the major cities all over the world map. Click here for more: WoW Skinning
This profession will allow you to gather leather, scales and hides by skinning particular types of mobs. You will not be able to skin all mobs and mostly mobs that could be skinned are beasts and dragonkin. Note that not all beasts can be skinned either, in example birds.
When can I skin a mob?
When you kill a certain mob first things to do is loot him. Once you are done with looting you should be able to see a skinning pointer on a mob if that mob could be skinned. If the level of a mob is suitable for you your Skinning skill will raise. Lower level mobs will not give you a skill point while the higher ones will.
What do I need in order to skin?
Skinning doesn’t require some particular equipment. What you do need is a skinning knife. Any general goods trader has this knife for sale as well as any or profession related trader who can be found close to the Skinning trainer.
There are also special knives for skinning that have a bonus to give you for your skill. Finkle’s Skinner is a knife that drops in the Upper Blackrock Spire from the Beast and Zulian Slicer that drops in Zul’Gurub from the High Priest Thekal.
Another easy way to improve your Skinning is to enchant gloves with +5 Skinning: Enchant Gloves - Skinning formula and +10 Skinning. For the best leveling guide click here: WoW Ultimate Guide Review
Combining Skinning and Leatherworking
Skinning is a nice profession especially when combined with Leatherworking because Skinning can provide you with all the materials that are needed for Leatherworking. Without the necessary materials Leatherworking is very expensive to level up. You could buy the materials on the Auction House but it would be better for your wallet if you take combine Leatherworking with Skinning.
Leather products are not only a need for Leatherworking profession. Leather is also used with Blacksmithing, Engineering and Tailoring.
Is Skinning profitable?
We can say with certainty that Skinning is profitable simply because skins are easy to get. Mobs suitable for skinning can be found everywhere and even if you are just skinning lower level mobs you can still sell them nicely on the Auction House. It doesn’t even really matter which level you are because you can sell each type of leather for great amounts of money.
Classes suitable for Skinning
As with any other profession, a player can choose a profession he likes, even though most classes that take Skinning and Leatherworking are the ones who can wear leather, for example, Rogues and Druids. You can also see many Hunters with these two professions simply because this class is the best class for grinding leather.
What is Master of Anatomy
Since Blizzard released WoTLK Skinners gained a new passive ability called Master of Anatomy. If you are a Skinner your critical strike rating will increase with this ability as you skillup Skinning. The maximum of Master of Anatomy ability is +40 on the crit when you have your Skinning profession on its maximum (450). If you would like more on WoW Leveling, click here: WoW Leveling Guide

Engineering is definitely one of the most fun professions in WoW. Engineers have a task to combine and create various parts in order to produce various useful items and even junk. Engineers can make a lot of bombs, bullets and guns, goggles, weird pets and even motorbikes and flying machines.
A lot of players chose to level up Engineering not only because it’s fun but also because of some special items like a Flying Machine which is a fantastic flying mount. This is a flying mount that requires 300 skill in Engineering and you can obtain schematics for this fantastic mount in Shadowmoon Valley at Niobe Whizzlespark. Click here for more on WoW Engineering
Is Engineering difficult to level up?
Engineering doesn’t looks like the other professions. It requires time and patience but it will certainly prove to be fun. If you want to speed up the leveling a bit you should take the Mining profession as well because you will need a lot of metal bars and gems. It is possible to level it even without Mining, but then the whole process will be much more expensive since you will need to buy the mats on the Auction House.
What can an Engineer make?
Engineers are famous for their items and creativity and are also known for their junk! Don’t let the junk fool you though because an Engineer can craft some great items as well.
Think in example about the repair bots and jumper cables that Engineers can make. The Repair Bots have proved to be very useful in instances and raids where all the players can repair after wipe and continue without the need to run out and repair somewhere else. Bots are used to speed up the process and make it more convenient.
Goblin Jumper Cables are usually used by Hunters or Rogues. If their party dies, Rogues and Hunters can Stealth or Feign Death and once the mobs have gone back to their starting positions these classes can try to resurrect a healer whom will then be able to resurrect the entire party or raid. This way you will save your group a lot of time traveling and rezing.
Other popular items are the epic goggles which are worn as a headpiece and do not only make Engineers look cool, they also give nice stats. For the best leveling guide click here: WoW Ultimate Guide Review
Specs for Engineers
An Engineer, similar to a Blacksmith or a Tailor, can specialize in different fields of his profession. When you reach skill of 200 you will be given a choice of specialization. It can be either Gnomish Engineering or Goblin Engineering. What is different about these two specializations is the place where you end up when you use the teleportation device and the trinket. Gnomish Engineers can use Transporter - Gadgetzan & Transporter - Toshley’s Station while Goblin Engineers can use Dimensional Ripper - Everlook & Dimensional Ripper - Area 52.
Engineering since the latest expansion
The latest WOTLK expansion resulted in a positive change when it comes to all professions. Reason for this is that Engineers can now make motorcycles! Alliance players can make their motorcycles with The Mekgineer’s Chopper schematic while Horde players can make it with Mechano-hog schematic. Getting all the materials together is quite time-taking and expensive but nevertheless the popularity of these motorcycles is growing each day.
Engineers and their pets
With all the crazy gadgets Engineers can play with, pets are the most fun ones. You can make two different pets namely the Bombling and LiL’ Smoky. Both recipes can be obtained in Gnomeregan, a level 28-35 instance located in Dun Morogh. If you would like more on WoW Leveling, click here: WoW Guide

Mining is a good choice for a primary profession, especially if you are not sure which one to pick. Why to choose mining? It is a profession that complements a great number of other primary professions, and leveling some of them goes very poorly without mining. Mining goes excellent with Jewelcrafting, Blacksmithing and Engineering. You can also pair it with another gathering profession such as Herbalism or Skinning, where Mining won’t have a direct influence on another profession but it will surely raise your profit. Click here for more on Mining Guide WoW
What do I need to start Mining?
Novice Miners need to have an access to a few necessary things. A mining pick would be the first item you would need and you can get it at trade goods or mining supplies vendors, who are usually found next to a mining trainer.
Mining veins are another necessary thing you will need to find. Same as with Herbalism, with Mining you will get “Find Minerals” ability. When this ability is activated it will show veins as yellow dots on your minimap. By making a good use of addons like The Gatherer, you can save the locations of all the veins you found. It would be also possible to store vein locations found by your guild or party members in possession of the same addon.
The most common places to look for veins are the mountain areas, hills and rocks. Skill level required to gather the ore from the vein will be higher or lower, depending on the zone. The starting areas of all classes usually have Copper and Tin veins.
What benefits will I have with Mining?
Mining comes with ability which is called Smelting. With the use of Smelting you will be able to create various metal bars from the ores you gathered. Players with this profession also get a lot of stones, motes, and gems while mining. For the best leveling guide click here: Ultimate Guide WoW
Mining paired with other professions
As mentioned before, Mining is popular because it is a good counterpart to some professions. Blacksmithing, Jewelcrafting and Engineering are in a great need of products you get with Mining. The choice of professions is always up to you, however, it is good to have 2 suitable professions paired in order to get the best out of them and skill up faster. Herbalism and Mining are said to be the ultimate gold making professions since all you need to do is fly around and gather ores and herbs which are usually found close to each other.
Is there something else I should know about when it comes to Mining?
Mining, aside from its high profitability, is also an excellent choice for all the classes that are need of additional hit points, such as Warriors, Death Knight tanks and Paladins. Mining provides a special passive skill Toughness. Toughness will give you extra stamina which is very useful while leveling, not to mention that when you reach 450 in Mining, this skill will give you 500 health extra (50 stamina). This is an excellent bonus, especially for a tank.
The Warrior and Paladin classes usually choose Mining as their primary profession. Death Knights are a new Hero class which are also wearing plate and tanking, so they can make a good use of mining as well. Still, not only the plate-wearing classes opt for Mining. It is also a popular choice among Warlocks, Rogues, Mages and Druids as well, especially if their other primary profession is Jewelcrafting or Engineering.
