In the World of Warcraft, Shamans are a famous class of hybrids. For quite a while Shamans as a class were available only to the Horde while Alliance had Paladins in exchange. With the Burning Crusade this fact has changed and with the new introduced race – the Draenei, Shamans became very popular with the Alliance players.
Resembling the Druid class, Shamans can also drastically change their spec to Casters, Healers and Melee damage dealers. There are three talent builds they can choose from – Enhancement (melee dps), Elemental (caster dps) and Restoration (healer). If you prefer a dps caster that can own a damage meter, the Elemental talent build would be perfect for your Shaman. However, to achieve the best damage output you should equip gear that is rich in sp (spell power), hit rating, crit rating as well as with haste rating. Click here to watch the video: Shaman Leveling Guide
By choosing the Enhancement talents, a Shaman will become a good melee dps. The Enhancement build will also require you to have adequate gear that has a lot of Agility, hit, crit and haste. A special ability granted to all Enhancement Shamans is the ability to summon two ghost wolves which will help a Shaman in a fight against any enemy. This spell is very useful, especially in PvP.
A Restoration Shaman is considered to be a great healer. A Shaman has really good single-target healing spells and is also favored in raids because of his ability to heal multiple targets with a Chain Heal. Earth shield is another very useful spell a Shaman can put on himself, a party member or a tank who is receiving damage. The most important thing when it comes to gear for a Shaman healer is mp5 (the amount of mana regenerated per 5 seconds.
Shamans can wear cloth, leather and mail. He will have wear leather as the strongest armor on lower levels, however, when he reaches a certain level he will be able to equip mail as well. At the higher levels it is strongly suggested to wear mail since this kind of armor is a lot stronger then leather or cloth. Similar to Hunter’s armor sets, mail armor sets made for Shamans have a lot of useful stats like intellect, which is important for a Shaman since he is a mana user. For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros Guide Review
For easy leveling a Shaman it is suggested to put your talents in the Enhancement branch. As an Enhancement Shaman you will not need much mana since most of your skills are melee and therefore your leveling will go much faster. Another couple talent points well spent would be in the improved ghost wolf form to enable you to instantly turn into the ghost wolf.
Another thing which made Shamans very popular in groups, raids and in PvP are their totems. There are four groups of totems divided into elements – Air totems, Fire totems, Water totems and Earth totems. Depending on the build a Shaman chooses their totems will give more benefit to the party members. Since there are four groups of elements, a Shaman can use one totem from each group so in total he can cast 4 different totems.
The Shaman class is a fun class for leveling and playing both PvE and PvP, since they are able to change their role when needed. With many options to choose from when it comes to Shamans, rest assured you will fall in love with this class and never get bored.

I’ll talk about the Death Knight class in this WoW Death Knight Guide. Death Knights combine both magic and melee into one hybrid class that was introduced in the Wrath of the Lich King.
Death Knight Overview:
Death Knights can do magic but are especially talented at melee, able to deliver destruction to their enemies. This with their anti magic abilites make them really good tanks in a group. We’ll go into some of the strengths and weaknesses in this WoW Death Knight Guide.
You’ll need to have leveled your character to at least 55 before you can unlock the Death Knight. However, it doesn’t matter whether you Alliance or Horde or what race you are, since Death Knight can be any faction or race. Here’re some good races for Alliance and Horde.
Read more about Death Knight strategies in the World of Warcraft Death Knight Guide
Alliance Faction:
- Night Elves- Great for PvP
- Gnomes
- Dwarves- Stone forms are really good for Tanks
Horde Faction:
- Tauren’s War Stomp- Great for both PvP and PvE
- Forsaken’s will of the Forsaken- Their also really good at PvP and PvE
But as I mentioned you can choose any race.
Death Knight Guide the Upside and Downside
Upside:
- Heavy Plate Armor- This makes them great for combat and melee.
- Uncommon & Rare Gear- You get these right from the start.
- Uses Runic Power and Runes- You’ll get some unique playing benefits compare to other power sources.
- Wield 2 Handed Weapons- Again this makes them great as Tanks.
- Anti Magic- Makes them formidable adversaries to magic users.
- Blood Magic for healing.
Downside:
- As mentioned you’ll need a level 55 character before you can unlock this class.
- The only downside when it comes to tanking is that they can’t tank with a shield.
- Because of their abilities they can take some time to master
Runic Power:
Death Knights don’t use energy, mana or rage but instead use Runes and Runic Power. You start with 6 runes; once they get used up they’ll regenerate every 10 seconds
There are 3 Runes you can use. They are Blood Runes, Unholy Runes, and Frost Runes.
Here’s how some of the Runes are used for some abilities.
- Death Strike: Uses 1 Unholy & 1 Frost Rune; this is an instant cast and doesn’t require a cool down.
- Icy Touch: Uses 1 Frost Rune
- Blood Boil: Uses 1 Blood Rune
You can use these abilities in combination with one another. It’s this fact that can make them a challenge to play well. Be carefull not to use up your runes or you won’t have any for 10 seconds. 10 seconds can be a life time in situations like in the middle of combat.

Death Knights are the latest class in the World of Warcraft. The new class became available when the World of Warcraft Expansion ‘Wrath of the Lich King’ was released. Blizzard called the Death Knight a Hero class because of several reasons. It must be said however, that the Death Knight class is not stronger than other classes.
DKs’ system of attack is based on their runic power. They have two runes for each type of spell they can cast and they all have their own cool down and the spells and attacks that they can use all consume the cool down of a certain rune. The Runes are divided in three sets of two Blood, Frost and Unholy Runes. The talent trees have the same names as these mentioned runes.

A Death Knight wears plate armor, deals melee damage and has several spells that can be cast from distance as well. The Death Knight class can play both a tank and a good melee dps role in any dungeon group and raid. A DK can use one-hander and two-hander weapons and cannot wield shields.
To be able to create a DK you will need to have a level 70 char. You will start leveling a DK at level 55 which will make your journey a lot easier. Besides that, you will also receive a set of green gear, 5 bags and 30 Silver.
Your journey will start in The Ebon Hold in the Eastern Plaguelands. At first you will be fighting together with the forces of the Lich King. He will command you where to go and which quests to do. As rewards for the quests that you complete there you will receive nice blue items and talent points. Your DK starts at level 55 without the talent points which you will be able to get by completing the quests.
For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros
At the level 58 the quest chain you were on will change its course. You will be able to escape from the Lich King’s command and you will join his enemies to fight by their side. At this level you can go anywhere you want and continue your leveling, however the best choice for fast leveling will be the Outlands area. Your DK will have all the necessary talent points, nice gear and a nice story to tell when he/she enters the Outlands.
When it comes to primary professions a Death Knight is no different than any other class. The choice of professions is solely up to you, however there are a few professions that can match a DK good. Enchanting is advisable for any char simply because it is useful and can give you nice stats upgrade with the ability to enchant rings. Since ring enchants are only available for the Enchanter himself it is nice for any character. A wise choice when it comes to primary professions could also be a combination of Jewelcrafting and Mining. Later on in the game you will be able to obtain better gear which will have more sockets and this is why Jewelcrafting is nice since all of the gems you can make will be improving your char’s stats. With JC you will be able to craft other pieces of Jewelry as well, for example necklaces. Blacksmithing is also a good option because you will be able to make plate gear. Best accompanied by the Mining profession, you can also use Blacksmithing to make sockets in your gloves and wrists.
The DK class is very fun to play. A Death Knight class has no down points. Almost everybody has a Death Knight these days because they are so easy to level and start at level 55.

The Warrior class is very famous in the World of Warcraft. Because he can perform well in both PvE and PvP as a really good tank or melee dps, a Warrior can easily find a spot in any PvP team, instance or a raid group. Since the dual spec ability became available to all of the WoW players, playing a Warrior became even more fun.
Playing a Warrior tank is definitely fun but after some time it can also become boring, because everybody likes a change once in a while. Since a second spec is available, for example Fury or Arms, you are able to feel more relaxed knowing that you can switch from being a tank to a dps Warrior in just a few moments without spending gold on it. Click here to watch the video: Warrior Guide
With a setup like this you will be able to gather gear for both your tanking build and damage or PvP build. If you posses the adequate gear for certain build, you can switch when needed, in example tank an instance to help your friends, or you can also change to a dps Warrior if you feel like doing some PvP or just grinding. Have in mind though, that tanks are always harder to find and they are essential for any group so you will definitely be appreciated as a tank.
The Protection talent tree, like said before, should be followed by players that want to turn their Warrior in a capable tank. The talents that can be chosen in the Protection talent tree will make the Warrior a tough cookie. The Protection tree will enable you to increase your tank’s armor, stamina, shield abilities, threat, etc. which all will contribute in making you more capable while tanking in any raid or dungeon.
The Arms and Fury talent tree of the Warrior are supposed to increase the Warriors damage. Arms is said to be a perfect build for PvP because of many useful attacks and abilities like Mortal Strike – an ability which, when placed on a target, will decrease any healing done. The Mortal Strike has proven to be lethal for many arena teams and in PvP in general. For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros Guide Review
The Fury talent tree has always been used strictly for PvE DPS purposes. Some players claim that an Arms Warrior is also better in PvE when compared to a Fury Warrior. This however, is something that you yourself should judge. By choosing the Fury talent tree, you will be able to use some very nice attack abilities and you will be able to wield Two-Handed Weapons, which will not only highlight your character’s looks, but it will also make your class unique!
Warriors have been the backbone of civilizations through time and have always had a great purpose in battle. The Warrior class in the World of Warcraft is the only class which can equip all the weapons. When it comes to armor, a Warrior wears plate and when combined with a good use of his shield he will definitely become a strong tank while if he chooses to use two-handers he will be able to achieve massive damage. The most popular hybrid class in the World of Warcraft definitely is the Druid class. Many WoW players will tell you that the Druid class is one of the most fun classes to play. If you rolled Alliance the only race which can become a Druid will be the Night Elf race and if you rolled Horde your only choice when it comes to the race will be the Tauren race.
Druids have many interesting abilities but the most fun one is definitely the ability to shapeshift. They have many forms they can turn themselves into and the basic ones are Cat, Bear, Travel and Sea Lion form. With the Burning Crusade expansion flying skill was introduced to all the WoW players. With level 70, all classes were able to get a flying mount. However, the druids got their flight form, which is an instant cast, on level 68.
Click here to see the video WoW Druid
Druid can be a really good dps as a caster, healer, tank or a melee dps and therefore his talent tree is divided into three branches – Balance, Feral Combat and Restoration. With the Balance talent build, a Druid will be able to shapeshift into another very fun form – the Moonkin which will allow him to become a typical caster damage dealer.
Druid’s moonkin form will afflict the whole raid and all other players will have an amazing benefit with +5% on critical strike rating. A Moonkin uses mana for his spells and is often called “Boomkin” which explains how high his damage can be.
He uses a few spells in rotation together with two DoTs to accomplish a really good dps in raids. A Moonkin is not only limited to single target damage spells and he can also deal a lot of AoE damage with spells like Hurricane, Starfall and Typhoon. His gear needs to have a lot of spell power, crit, hit and haste rating and with his dps, a Moonkin can parry any other caster dps in raid. Feral Druids can choose between a tank spec or a melee dps spec.
When he shapeshifts into the bear form, a Druid will have a lot of stamina and armor and can tank as good as any other tanking class, and if he wants to dps in melee he can always shapeshift into the cat form. With his talent points in the Restoration tree, a druid will get another special form – the tree form. If you would like more information on WoW guides check out one of our popular guides here: Ultimate WoW Guide
When shapeshifted into a tree a Druid will grant 6% extra healing done to all the targets in his group/raid and his spells will consume less mana. Healing Druids are famous for their HoTs – Healing over Time spells and are favored in raids. Restoration Druids are unique healers and they are especially valued for their HoTs – spells thay have a healing over time effect. His gear needs to have a lot of spirit and spell power and therefore healing druids are known for their ability to regenerate mana very fast.
When it comes to armor a Druid can wear both cloth and leather. Wearing cloth is not advisable since leather armors have better stats. Cloth can be of use to healing druids and Moonkins since they usually don’t take any close damage unlike Druid tanks and melee. Tanking Druid needs to equip the best leather armor he can get since he needs a lot of hp and armor to be able to tank proper.
Playing a druid is really fun both in PvE and PvP and basically you can’t get bored since you can change your build and game play anytime you please. Leveling will also be fairly easy for a Druid and the best spec to choose for fast leveling will definitely be Feral Combat. With a Druid you will be able to shape shift, run faster, swim faster, dive without the need to have an underwater breathing potion, etc. and all this is done instantly!.
