I consider myself to be relatively well educated in the latest generation of social networking site games like Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars, and such. That’s why when I started to see these FarmVille guides popping up all over the place I was kind of surprised. I mean, I can see why people might need some tips to get going in games like Mafia Wars, but FarmVille?

At this point though I hadn't actually played the game, but I didn't really think it could be all that complicated. In pratically no time, I was out of money and had no crops to plant. I must admit, there way more to this game than I had anticipated.

I eventually managed to dig myself out of my original hole and out of the red, but I still was not making that much progress. If you are basing it on sales alone then it has to be the Wii that gets the prize. From the opiniopn of someone that has owned all of Nintendo’s past consoles this has easily been their worst submission. Why on earth is this?

Well the simple reason is that they have stopped caring about all of the Die hard fans and started to generalise their games for the general market which means we are constantly seeing rubbish games in which a Nintendo fan wouldn’t touch with a 10ft barge pole. with Mario Kart on the Wii that just seemed to take out all of the things that made Double Dash A great game, it has sold because more kids will buy it. As well as this they are copying Mario Galaxy by adding in a few variations to levels in Mario Galaxy 2.

So by that paragraph you can see that the Wii is out of in it my opinion.

Online and other

It has to be said that the PS3 is a great console with games such as Uncharted 2 it cannot be argued that it has some great graphics. Although the online play is all free, it is very poor and it features many games with people unable to speak your language. Okay, but why not add some language barriers like Microsoft? Sure the PS3 has Blu-Ray but that seems to be all that it has going for it.

The Xbox 360 has the better games, the better online service and just a generally better experience overall. So my recommendation to you is not to get a Wii for the family as it will only be played once. Getting a 360 or a PS3 is wise.

To make sure these will not have to be replaced for some serious money, get game console insurance or gadget insurance. Of course you could also get some mobile phone insurance while you are at it.

With 3D films becoming more and more so over the last few years has it gotten to the stage where we are going to be seeing more 3D films than non 3D films? Well as many people will know, channel 4 have recently had a presentation on their channel featuring loads of 3D things which actually seemed to gain a lot of interest from people.

However has the time come where we are going to be replacing cheap prescription glasses and cheap designer sunglasses with brand new 3-D glasses, after all they are very difficult to use if you already have poor vision.

They are starting to release the new 3D televisions which is a sure sign that it is all going to get pretty big. However at the moment there are several problems with 3-D technology.

Although the companies behind the recent 3D updates say that it causes no health problems it would seem a lot of people are able to gain headaches from it. For one there are many movies out there that claim to be in 3-D that actually end up giving you quite a bad headache.

If you think about it, most theme parks have 3D attractions and they seem to be ahead of a lot of other companies. In Florida they have several attractions in 3D and even have a new ride in which you have to shoot things all in 3D. They had really put a lot of time and effort into this ride choosing the best 3D technology for it.

So although I do not think 3-D will takeover from designer glasses with the new televisions on the way it is sure to make an impact.

To be honest, it has to be your choice when it comes to 3D you either reallty want it or you do not. There are set to be many computer games being made for the various consoles that are somehow going to optimise on this without giving you smacking headache.

This is the last part of the Xbox 360 games you have to buy and not wait until Christmas!

Assassin’s Creed 2

I cannot wait for this one as the the first was a great game. They have actually made a fair few imrpovements onto this game. One of the major issues with this game is that the missions were very similar but they have really improved upon this for the second game. You are able to possess two hidden blades that can kill two people at once as well as being able to take the enemy’s weapons and climb 2X faster than you can in the first game. The only other issue I had with the original is that it was very frustrating to fall in the water and die, well no more as you can now swim!

The Ballad Of Gay Tony

This is of course the second instalment episode for the popular GTA IV game. Although this add on is actually shorter than the main game in my personal opinion it is a lot better. Everyone who has played this game will know that the missions have been improved and there are now parachutes! The bad point is that there are still no planes that you can fly around in which is a shame. However it does have that feel of Vice City which was easily the best game that has been made for the franchise.

On top of all of these great games there are more out next year such as Splinter Cell, Final Fantasy and finally Alan Wake. It is also worth thinking about Project Natal.

Toys and games seem to be getting more and more popular as each year passes by which is why you should consider looking into toys reviews before you buy anything. It can be very important that you get those boys toys right.
