The throttle quadrant, as suggested by the name will allow you to control the throttle but also some of the other aircraft controls. The control panels usually are programmable, and allow you to assign different controls to the switches, buttons and levers. For example, you could assign the buttons to controls such as the prop pitch, fuel or flaps.
